From the 17th to 21st August SWDC staff undertook training on psycho-social support and gender-based violence for its counselors. The purpose of this training was to strengthen community psycho-social support response for GBV survivors.
During the periods between 24th to 29th August SWDC held a six day training for 30 of its community mobilizers, social workers and caseworkers on GBV, HIV prevention, referrals and response. The main purpose of this training was to enable staff from all areas to have a better understanding on topics such as GBV, HIV prevention, referrals and response and enable them to conduct their work adequately on a daily basis and provide the necessary support in all segments of society.
From the 21st September to the 22nd September SWDC organized two day training for its staff which consisted of a total of 20 community mobilizers, caseworkers and social workers. The main objective of these two training sessions was to enable staff from all areas including community mobilizers, social workers and caseworkers to have a better understanding on child rights, child protection, GBV referrals and case management to enable them to work well in their fields and provide a better service when it comes to providing awareness sessions and legal aid.
